When fine is not good enough I like baking but I have never liked my electric beaters. It doesn’t seem to make a difference what’s in the bowl, how big the bowl is, the angle I hold it at or what speed setting I use – the beaters throw the ingredients out of the bowl.… Read more about When fine is not good enough

postpandemic emergence diagram gabrielle treanor sm

3 Stages of post-pandemic emergence In April 2020, as the pandemic took grip on the world, I created a diagram (here) to illustrate the different stages of thoughts, feelings and actions through which people were moving back and forth. More than a year later many, many lives have been lost and changed in ways we… Read more about 3 Stages of post-pandemic emergence

Posting four days in a row – who even am I?! Of Posting four days in a row – who even am I?! Of course, whether the almighty algorithm lets you see my posts is a whole other matter…📣 The thing is, I have so many things to share with you – the latest being that Pressing Pause podcast is back!✨ And it's had a refresh – new artwork, new music, and the original format of short, solo episodes, bitesize just as you like them. The plan is to share a new episode every week, fingers crossed. This week's episode, number 101 in fact, focuses on the rather unhelpful (and potentially harmful) message many self-development books promote.🎧 I'll let you listen, find Pressing Pause wherever you listen to podcasts or on my site (link in bio) where you'll find the transcript too.🥰 I would LOVE for more people to listen so if you enjoy the podcast it would mean so much to me if you could leave a rating and review on iTunes. It'll take a minute, promise. Thanking you!#calmcoachImage description: Pic 1: White peonies in a jug on a table with a field, trees and a hill in the background. I've moved on from just about being able to write I've moved on from just about being able to write my name 40 years ago as shown in my previous post and right now you can find my writing in two different publications 😆In this week's @theweekjunior I've drawn on my experience of my lovely little Georgie dog dying last month to write a feature on coping with the death of a pet. Including advice from the fab @diptigriefcoach I hope it will be of some help and comfort to the children reading it. (I've been writing The Week Junior's wellbeing page every month or so since the start of this year but I don't think I've told you until now!)(Scroll) And the latest issue of @thehappynewspaper is available now too, this time I've written on the issue's topic of progress. The illustration by @lukas_scriven88 may be my favourite yet – just look at those happy bunnies! Both publications are SO good, I'm v proud to write for them so if you're not familiar do check them out. The Week Junior is for 8-14-yr-olds and The Happy News by @emilycoxhead is for everyone!#calmcoach #joycoach

Reflecting on 2022 so far doesn't make for pretty Reflecting on 2022 so far doesn't make for pretty reading. The pandemic continues, Putin waging war in Ukraine, the fiasco that is the UK government, school shootings in the US, cost of living rise… the list goes on.Personally, I started the year with low energy as I was feeling pretty worn out by life. Then Covid wiped me out for a couple of weeks. And then my beloved dog died at the start of May.💥 The world, our lives, will always include challenges, that's the human experience. And to cope with it all, to feel like we can weather the storms without snapping in two, we need to strengthen our resilience. Not to power through or act like everything's splendid when it isn't.🌳 But so that we can get back up again even when life knocks you off your feet. And to lessen the likelihood of you being completely knocked off your feet in the first place.Strengthening your resilience empowers you to feel calm, in control and confident you can cope. Which in turns means you can feel joyful, creative, inspired, focused, and you can be the empathetic, caring, big-hearted woman you are.Thankfully resilience is not a trait you're born with or without. It's a skill you can learn, build and strengthen.🤩 So the good news is that it's available to all of us. Hooray! If you want to feel calmer, more in control and confident you can cope with the big and little curveballs that life has a habit of throwing in your path, take a look at my self-study, online course, Rooted (link in bio).💆‍♀️ Plus there's a very special offer only available until Wednesday 1 June where you can get Rooted + The Calm Collection, which includes three powerful courses (also self-study so you go at your own pace) that will equip you to live a calmer, more peaceful, contented life.PS My beloved Georgie may no longer be on this earth but I'm not ready to stop showing her beautiful face.Image description: Pic 1: My dog's little face peeking out from under a duvet cover. Pic2: Images of four courses – Rooted, Be Here Now, Exhale and A Thankful Heart. Pic 3: White text on blue reads 'Rooted + The Calm Collection Available until Wed 1 June gabrielletreanor.com'.

My husband, our beloved dog Georgie and I have bee My husband, our beloved dog Georgie and I have been a family of three for 13 years. Until Sunday.I had no idea how much I could love an animal until Georgie came into our lives in March 2009, or of how much better our lives would be because of her.Georgie is woven into every fibre of our home, our lives and our hearts. Which means we feel her absence everywhere. She gave us unquantifiable joy and I know, in time, her memory will do so too. But right now we're heartbroken.Image description: Several photos of our beloved cavalier king charles spaniel Georgie.
