Whether you have never tried meditation before or you’ve struggled to meditate regularly, here you will get step by step guidance and the tools you need to begin meditating and create a sustainable mindfulness meditation practice that works in your busy life and allows you to feel calm, in control and at ease.
Mindfulness meditation makes a difference to your life when you're not meditating. The few minutes you spend in meditation teach you how to access calm when you're in the thick of a stressful, busy day. When you learn to notice you're sinking into overwhelm you can interrupt the cycle and take action to help yourself. And by taking a few minutes to meditate you can spend the rest of your waking hours getting on with your life as you want to, enjoying it, because you're better able to bring down the overwhelm.
“Your presentation style is easy, digestible and a pleasure to read. The meditations are wonderful and for me, the perfect way to start my work day at my desk.”
– Karin
Exhale leads you step by step into meditating so you can create a sustainable practice that supports and benefits you rather than overwhelms you. It’s more beneficial to meditate daily for a handful of minutes than to save it all up and do half an hour once a week. This is why we begin with a short three minute meditation and build up to ten minutes later in the course. It’s why I talk you through every meditation and why, by the end of the course, you will have a menu of meditations of varying length, focus and use so you can choose what meditation to follow for your needs at any given time.
Exhale is a self-study course that begins as soon as you join. You can follow it at your own pace without feeling pressured. I know time can be a challenge to establishing a meditation habit so the lessons are a manageable size and the guided meditations are only a few minutes long.
Perhaps you're going through a difficult time and want to learn how to focus your attention on what’s good in your life.
Perhaps you know that your life is essentially fine but you don't seem able to really enjoy it, and you've had enough, you want to stop living in your head and start loving your life.
If this sounds familiar to you, Be Here Now – A Practical Guide to Living Mindfully e-course is for you. This self-study course will guide you to unsticking yourself from that bogged down feeling of overthinking, so you can feel freer and lighter, able to enjoy life as you really want to.
“Thank you so much for Be Here Now, it was really informative and very useful. The practical element of it especially, as it gave me concrete things to do and try and felt so manageable and the things to try weren't overwhelming. It was great to have smaller things to try, as well as the guidance to focus on different areas at a time.”
- Jennifer
In this course you will learn how to spend less time lost in your head, bogged down with worry, and more time enjoying what’s going on in and around your life, paying closer attention to how you feel and interact with the world. While mindfulness techniques and meditations form an integral part of the course, this isn’t about learning to practise mindfulness meditation.
During the course we’ll look at how living mindfully helps you take better care of yourself, strengthens your relationships with those you care about and the wider world, and how it can help you to find more enjoyment, meaning and contentment in your ordinary, everyday life.
Living mindfully isn’t something to do when you have more time, when you’ve turned a corner, or when you’ve achieved a specific goal. Begin living mindfully now, increase your awareness of your daily thoughts, actions and words now, and you begin to live a fuller, more joy-filled life now.
Through this course you’ll discover that by living mindfully you can:
Module 1 we lay the ground work, looking at why you want to live more mindfully and how it relates to meditation. We also think about how you talk to yourself and your relationship with your inner critic.
Module 2 sees us continuing with considering how you care for your mind, body and soul, exploring misconceptions and realities of self-care. We look at what mindful eating and drinking is and how you can benefit from practising it.
Module 3 we focus on the sticky subject of your relationship with your digital devices – how you use and relate to social media, what and how you share yourself online, and ways to create a healthy relationship with your device and online use.
Module 4 we turn our attention to how living mindfully can build and strengthen your relationships with family, friends, work colleagues and the wider community, and we look at dealing with difficult people. We also consider your environment and how being mindful of where you live and work enhances your wellbeing.
Module 5 we build on the previous modules and focus on how mindfulness can help you deal with and reduce how stressed you feel, what it means to live with intention and making mindfulness part of everyday life.
“I took Be Here Now at a time when I'm facing some major changes and uncertainties. I found this a useful focus to start to reduce the rumination. I really enjoyed the course and I now have the tools to go back and use them again to re focus and check myself.”
- Caroline
Noticing and appreciating the good in the everyday plays a key role in helping us to stress less and enjoy life more. Making gratitude practice a habit, making it part of your everyday routine, is one of the most effective steps you can take to bring more joy into your life.
Research studies have found that you feel more joy in ordinary life and build your resilience to deal with life’s difficulties by cultivating an attitude of gratitude. The benefits of a thankful mindset are far reaching.
You can…
Gratitude is not about being indebted or beholden to anyone, or bypassing what's difficult in our lives and the world. It’s about being aware of the good in our lives, in others, in the world around us.
By feeling and expressing appreciation for what you have in your life you are more mindful of your connections with others, you’re more aware of your thoughts, words and actions to yourself and those around you, and you are able to recognise and savour the good in your life, however small those moments may appear.
And all of this has been found by countless studies to have a significant positive impact on your wellbeing.
“A Thankful Heart really opened my eyes to all the smaller things around me to be thankful for. It’s helped me make gratitude practice a part of my everyday. The course has helped me to see the beauty in the everyday.”
– Amanda
A Thankful Heart is 21 days long because studies have shown that noticeable changes can occur within three weeks of daily gratitude practice.
In this course you will learn how to express thanks in ways that feel comfortable and are effective in improving your mood, and how to make gratitude a habit as much a part of your daily routine as drinking your morning cuppa.
Practising gratitude helps you to look at the bigger picture and broaden your perspective. It enables you to recognise what’s good in your world, pay attention to it and express your gratitude for it. And it’s this practice that empowers you to spend more time enjoying your life as it is right now.
“Gabrielle has taught me the power of gratitude, which, with practice, has helped retrain my mind to focus on the positives, no matter how small or big they might be.”
– Danielle

“A Thankful Heart is a really good grounding in how to establish a gratitude practice and how to think about gratitude. And a massive help in training and focussing your mind on all the positive things in your day and your life, rather than the bits that didn't go so well.”
– Lucy
I'm Gabrielle and I help overthinking, overdoing women who always put everyone else first and themselves last. They've had enough of feeling stressed, exhausted, unappreciated, resentful and guilty for feeling that way.
I help you feel like you can breathe again, to get back your spark, to have time and space, healthier relationships and more fun.
As an empathetic introvert and overdoing people-pleaser I have been on a long journey to build my resilience, feel more in control (and be okay with what's out of my power) and find calm and confidence.
As a certified international life and positive psychology coach I have supported individuals and organisations such as The Prince’s Trust, CareFirst, Design Nation and Choose to be Healthy Coalition in the US, for more than six years.
As a writer I have written for and being featured in many magazines such as Psychologies, Breathe, The Simple Things, Happy News and the Daily Express newspaper.
I host the Pressing Pause podcast, I’ve been interviewed as a guest on other podcasts and invited to speak at events. Through my one to one coaching, online courses and workshops I've helped hundreds of women find more space, peace, calm and joy in their daily lives.
