World Kindness Day
World Kindness Day

It’s well known that kindness is infectious, someone on the receiving end of a kind act is more likely to go on to demonstrate kindness to someone else. Just witnessing kindness in action is enough to prompt the observer to act kindly too.
Today, on World Kindness Day and at the start of Self-Care Week, I encourage you to be that little bit kinder but on one condition: that it starts with you.
Act kindly to yourself. I know you, lovely you reading this, are kind and I want you to demonstrate that kindness to yourself. Why do other people deserve your kindness and not you? By starting with yourself you will be in a much better position to be kind to those around you than if you treat yourself unkindly.
So, how can you be kind to yourself today? And, by starting with you, how can you spread kindness to others too? Take a look at the posts in the Self-care section of the blog for ideas on how you can be kinder to yourself, this post on how you talk to yourself is a good place to start.
